Reflections of Diana

She was Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend
And she gave of herself right down to the end,
She was launched into fame by her marriage to Charles
With a great sense of duty she answered the calls.

Two beautiful sons were her pride and her joys
With compassion and caring she nurtured her boys,
A champion to many in a world full of ills
She preferred the plain life without all the thrills.

Then her life became hardship as her marriage went sour
Being hunted by cameras almost hour by hour,
She was stripped of her title and shunned by the clan
But the people still loved her all over the land.

She championed great causes giving hope to so many
With a touch and a smile and a knack quite uncanny,
She was called "Peoples’ Princess" and loved the world over
In a life that was anything but roses and clover.

So much to do, and so much left undone
She was taken away as the world became stunned,
In the prime of her life she was called from this world
Now our hearts are so empty by the loss of this girl.

But the light of the future, Princes William and Harry
Means her passing has not been in vain,
So now we should rally behind her dear sons
Giving strength to their future as she would have done.

Goodbye sweet Diana, you are terribly missed
Farewell "England’s Rose," with a prayer and a kiss,
With the Lord God of Gods you will dwell evermore
By your toils you have earned your place through Heaven’s door.
