RascalWelcome to
Rascal's Place

Hello everyone! I'm so happy you came to visit me here. Usually I am at the Tower of London Kids Tour. I really love showing boys and girls around, but sometimes I like to get away on my own and play with my friends and think Rascal thoughts.

This is my very first room all to myself! I used to have to share a part of the nest with my baby sister Samantha, but that was when I was little. Now I am bigger I need my own place, and this is my very own room! I can decorate it like I want and put up posters and stuff, and have pillows with motor cars on them ... and my own shelf for my favorite books. Best of all I can have my friends over to visit and play!! I love to talk with friends. I have lots of interesting things to say, and I know you do too. I like to draw pictures and tell stories, and find out about different countries and what other kids like to do.

One of my favorite things is drawing pictures. I am having a drawing contest and the best pictures will be put up here in my room for all my friends to see. Can you draw a picture of me? As you can see, I am very handsome with my black glossy feathers and my twinkling eyes ... all my family are good looking ... I bet its the same in your family too. If you would like to try and draw me maybe you can have your mom or dad scan the picture and send it to me. You can send it to rascal_raven@yahoo.com and I will look at them and pick the best ones to hang up.

Look at what the kids drew in my Art Gallery!

I also like to tell stories as related to me by my Grandfather Rastus. My Grandfathers full name is Rastus Reginald Raven. I am named Reginald Raven after him, but everyone calls me by my nickname Rascal. Grandfather Rastus is the family historian. That means he knows all the things that happened to members of our family. He tells great stories. I like the ones about the Tower of London because as you know I am a tour guide on the kids tour and I know a lot about the Tower. If you like stories you can visit my story page ... (Psst, theres only one so far! Grandfather talks slow!)

A favorite story of mine about dragons!

Grandfather Rastus tells stories about all kinds of things My family has lots of cousins and aunts and uncles all over the world, so my grandfathers stories aren't just about the Tower of London. Mostly they are things that happened in history and how one of my relatives was involved and saved the day. Seems like the world couldn't manage without all my relatives ... least thats the way Grandfather Rastus tells it. My Grandfather is very special and I love to visit with him. He almost always has a treat for me and I learn a lot from him. I bet your grand parents are the same way and you love them the way I do my Grandfather Rastus and my Grandmother Becky.

I also like doing cool things ... I think visiting the White House Kids Tour would be great ... if you would like to do that with me ... click here. We can even write the President of the United States a letter ... isn't that cool?! I am going to write and ask him what it's like living in the White House. Do you think he gets to watch movies and eat cookies and stuff? It must be fun to live in the White House. It must be called that because it painted white. If it was painted purple maybe it would be called the Purple House ... hehehehe ... that's a Rascal thought.

How the Panama Canal Works

I also found this really cool place that shows you how the Panama Canal works ! Its really interesting. Each section is called a "lock" and what they do is fill each lock up with water to a higher level until they can let the ship in. Then they lower the water levels to let the ship out on the other side. See if you can understand why it has to be done that way. How the Panama Canal Works

Anyway, I have to finish putting away my books and toys and stuff so I will see you again soon. Maybe your mom or dad would like to come and see my room too, they would be very welcome.

Your friend,
signed, Rascal
